  • Reinventing a Tourism Brand for the Experience Economy

Pursuit's transformation from a diversified tourism business into a pure-play global experiences company reflects a larger shift in how travelers value meaning over material luxury. Under David Barry's leadership, the company has aligned growth with stewardship, design, and emotional connection—proving that legacy brands can evolve without losing their soul.

  • Leading a Public Company with a Human-First Philosophy

David Barry leads one of travel's fastest-growing public companies with humility, presence, and a belief that great guest experiences start with empowered people. His human-first leadership style—rooted in clarity, care, and accountability—has shaped a culture where safety, trust, and belonging are treated as strategic advantages, not soft ideals.

  • Designing Awe Through Experience Engineering

Pursuit doesn't simply operate attractions and lodges—it engineers emotional journeys. From arrival to departure, experiences are intentionally designed to create moments of awe, flow, and connection, ensuring guests don't just see iconic places, but truly feel them.

  • The Rise of the Icon Economy

Today's travelers are no longer chasing destinations—they are chasing meaning, memory, and transformation. The “icon economy” reflects a shift toward experiences rooted in the world's most powerful places, where access, storytelling, and stewardship define value more than opulence.

  • Why Access to Awe Is Today's True Luxury

In an age of abundance, true luxury is no longer about exclusivity—it's about access to awe. Pursuit believes that standing before a glacier, soaking in a thermal river, or sharing a mountaintop meal creates the kind of emotional wealth that modern travelers value most.
