Founded in 1948, Foodland has been a trusted supermarket beloved by Hawai'i locals for generations. With a commitment to supporting local producers and sharing the spirit of Hawai'i, Foodland launched Foodland Farms, a concept store that celebrates the islands' food culture. Opened in 2016 in the Ewa (West) Wing of Ala Moana Center, Foodland Farms Ala Moana has become a popular destination for both residents and visitors seeking a local-style shopping and dining experience.

  Foodland Farms Ala Moana is especially known for its poke, often praised as some of the best in Hawaii. The poke counter offers over 20 varieties daily, ranging from classic ahi and salmon to unique flavors such as truffle ahi and seared dynamite ahi. The store also features a wide selection of ready-to-eat options, including bento boxes, freshly baked pizza, a salad bar, and house-made mochi malasadas, donuts, and pastries.

  Catching the eye throughout the store is Foodland's original private label, Maikaʻi, easily recognized by its green packaging and shaka logo. Featuring products inspired by flavors from around the world with a distinctly local twist, Maikaʻi items are exclusive to Foodland and make ideal souvenirs. Eco-friendly bags with playful Hawaii-inspired designs are also among the brand's most popular items.

  Foodland Farms Ala Moana sets itself apart from a typical supermarket with several unique in-store dining experiences. The Bar, located at the center of the store, is a stylish full-service bar where guests can enjoy beer and light bites while shopping. HI Steaks offers classic local plate lunches such as loco moco and mochiko chicken, as well as hearty sirloin steaks. In 2021, Eleven debuted as a sophisticated cocktail lounge, where skilled mixologists serve creative cocktails alongside dishes designed to pair perfectly with the drinks, adding yet another dimension to this one-of-a-kind food destination.
