The interactive pop-up activation celebrates MONOPOLY's connection to Atlantic City, spotlighting the destination's iconic attractions and experiences

 

Atlantic City, NJ, Dec. 17, 2025  Visit Atlantic City is bringing the excitement of the world's favorite board game to Washington, D.C., with a life-sized MONOPOLY activation taking over Union Station from Jan. 10-12, 2026. Developed under license by Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, the three-day experiential pop-up invites locals and visitors alike to step directly onto a fully walkable game board and discover the modern-day thrills of Atlantic City through immersive, interactive play.

 

As a part of the experience, visitors will step into a custom Atlantic City-inspired MONOPOLY board game, featuring oversized dice, charming Atlantic City-themed game tokens and spaces spotlighting the destination's most compelling attractions, from the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk and world-class casino hotels to top-tier culinary offerings, entertainment, arts and more. Guests will have the opportunity to roll the dice to win a series of surprise and delight giveaways, interactive photo moments and opportunities to win Atlantic City-themed prizes, including branded merchandise and a grand-prize visit to the destination. Vibrant entertainment will take place throughout the weekend, including live DJ performances.

MONOPOLY has deep roots in Atlantic City, with many of the game's original property names inspired by the city's streets, neighborhoods and landmarks. This activation brings that history to life, transforming the classic board game into a modern showcase of the destination's vibrant attractions, entertainment and coastal experiences.

 

Free and open to the public, the activation will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Jan. 10 and 11, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan 12, 2026. For additional information about Visit Atlantic City, visit visitatlanticcity.com.
