FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Emerald Lake, BC (November 13, 2025) – This winter, Emerald Lake Lodge invites guests to an exceptional new dining experience rooted in storied culinary heritage.
The new Emerald Sky Dome is a glowing, clear-walled dining space where every detail, from the handcrafted table to the locally inspired cuisine, tells a story of connection, craftsmanship, and place.
Launching December 2, 2025, and now accepting early reservations, the Emerald Sky Dome presents a private, immersive six-course Chef's Blind Tasting Menu created by Chef Valerie Morrison, who celebrates 30 years at the helm of Emerald Lake Lodge's kitchen.
Under her direction, the experience reflects the lodge's culinary legacy, rooted in tradition, yet elevated through artistry and innovation. A Story of Craft and Connection The evening begins with a libation in the Kicking Horse Lounge before guests are guided to the Emerald Sky Dome, a softly glowing sanctuary set on the Kicking Horse Patio.
Framed by snow-draped evergreens and views of the night sky, the intimate setting welcomes up to six guests who gather around a custom-built table handcrafted by a local woodworker. The space is accented with alpine greenery, soft lighting, and Canadian-made décor that reflects the quiet beauty of the Rockies.
Building on Emerald Lake Lodge's renowned culinary history, the Emerald Sky Dome menu reimagines Rocky Mountain cuisine through a modern, elevated lens. Chef Morrison's dishes are plated with precision and artistry, evoking the enduring romance of the lodge's culinary past while celebrating innovation and contemporary technique.
“There's something about Emerald Lake that invites you to pause,” says Chef Valerie Morrison. “Through each dish, I try to capture the feeling of this place. Its history, its people, and the quiet beauty of the mountains. The Emerald Sky Dome allows guests to slow down and experience that connection for themselves, while being immersed in nature.”
One Evening. One Table. Countless Connections. The Emerald Sky Dome welcomes one private booking per evening for two to six guests, allowing each group to linger, savour, and immerse themselves in the serenity of the mountains.
The full experience lasts approximately two to three hours, with the dome serving as a personal living room in the Rockies, a glowing refuge where conversation, cuisine, and craftsmanship meet beneath the stars. Available Tuesday through Saturday, December 2 to early Spring 2026, the Sky Dome is ideal for anniversaries, proposals, or gatherings with friends. The experience pairs seamlessly with an overnight stay, continuing the warmth and hospitality for which Emerald Lake Lodge is known. This six-course experience is priced at $185 per diner, plus tax and gratuity. Add-on pairings are also available that include a wine and cocktail combination, or mocktail options.
Early reservations are now open and can be made exclusively through OpenTable.
