California Wine Month (September)

California Wine Month coincides with the height of the Tri-Valley's harvest season in September. While other California wine regions often steal the spotlight, Livermore Valley's Wine Country in the Tri-Valley region celebrates a rich history that can go “sip for sip” with its more famous neighbors. Known for its winemaking history dating back to the 1800s, the Livermore Valley offers a tranquil alternative to other popular wine regions. Not to be missed highlights include:

  • Harvest Celebrations during harvest season include unique wine tastings, vineyard tours, food festivals, and local craft markets.
  • The Livermore Wine Trolley tour includes tastings at three local wineries and a delicious made-to-order lunch in the vineyards.
  • For additional resources, visitors can download the Livermore Valley Wine Map and check out Visit Tri-Valley's Wine Lover's Guide, which includes suggested wineries with the best vineyard views with top wine experiences, and tours.

A Seasonal Feast for the Senses (September to December)

Plan a day trip for an autumn hike to Mount Diablo, the highest vista in the region, which rises 3,849 feet above sea level and has a summit that reveals breathtaking panoramas of mountain and valley expanses, with views extending to the Sierra Nevada.
  • Dublin: September's Splatter Festival showcases a splash of wine, art, dance, music, a world craft bazaar, and exceptional cuisine.
