New Pavilion at Grouse Mountain Lodge Offers Premier Wedding and Event
Destination in Whitefish
New 8,250-square-foot space builds on a 40-year legacy of gatherings
and community connections

Whitefish, MT – Pursuit is unveiling the next chapter of Grouse Mountain Lodge: a new 8,250-square-foot event pavilion designed to welcome weddings, community celebrations, and business events year-round in the heart of Whitefish, just minutes from Glacier National Park. The pavilion is expected to be complete in October 2026.

“For over 40 years, Grouse Mountain Lodge has been a trusted gathering place,” said Rob Spence, Vice President, Glacier Park Collection by Pursuit. “This new pavilion is a reinvestment in that legacy, purpose-built to offer a space for both out-of-town guests and the community to gather, celebrate, connect and create lasting memories.”

The pavilion blends mountain charm and an elevated hospitality experience to create unforgettable moments year-round. With room for 250 guests at a banquet, 300 in theater seating, or 350 for a reception, the space adapts easily to weddings, concerts, community galas, and business events. Enhanced by the lodge's existing conference rooms and breakout spaces, this new venue is equipped with first-class audiovisual capabilities and signature hospitality and catering services to offer flexible options for any gathering.

For weddings, an outdoor ceremony site under Montana's dramatic skies complements the indoor pavilion space. Destination guests benefit from 144 guest rooms on property, chef-driven catering and bar service tailored to each celebration, and the support of a dedicated conference and event services team. Guests also enjoy convenient shuttle service to Glacier Park International Airport and downtown Whitefish, and four-season access to nearby Glacier National Park.

The pavilion was created in partnership with Kalispell-based design firm Cushing Terrell and Montana's own Martell Construction. The design blends playful textures, warm wood tones, and natural materials to capture the warm and vibrant spirit of Whitefish with vaulted fir beams, a stone bar, and expansive windows with seamless access to the outdoors.

“As part of Pursuit's commitment to thoughtful and sustainable growth, this new development reflects our investment in the places we love and the communities we're proud to be part of,” said Spence.
