(Macao, April 29, 2024) – Sands Lifestyle's latest celebration of culinary excellence took place last week from April 23-27 at two-Michelin starred The Huaiyang Garden at The Londoner® Macao. During the Sands Celebrity Chef Series event the 'godfather' of Huaiyang cuisine, celebrity master chef Zhou Xiaoyan, joined hands with senior chef Xiao Fei to present to invited VIP guests, food critics and gourmands two superb Spring Tasting menus. Each taking diners on an unforgettable gastronomic journey of authentic Huaiyang cuisine of the highest calibre.

The esteemed duo began both epicurean extravaganzas with a delectable trio of traditional Huaiyang appetisers: Marinated Jiangsu vegetable wrap, Cherry tomato filled with walnuts and homemade sauce, and Grilled sail scallops and poached vegetables with a yuzu sauce. Diners were then treated to a series of sensational signature dishes and seasonal specialities, with several notable dishes showcasing the cuisine's focus on seafood, including the popular Sautéed river shrimp with Bi Luo green tea. Both menus were an homage to refined Huaiyang cuisine with chefs Zhou and Xiao expertly communicating through each elegant plate why the cuisine is considered one of the Four Great Traditions of Chinese Cuisine.
