New Veganuary for 2025 at the Caxton Restaurant, Westminster

The Caxton Restaurant & Bar located within the historic St Ermin's Hotel in Westminster today announces the launch of its Veganuary menu that will be served throughout January. Vegans and Veganuary enthusiasts can enjoy the selection of carefully curated plant-based dishes, perfectly paired with a chosen offering of vegan wines in the stylish, two AA Rosette Caxton Restaurant. Plant-Based Afternoon Tea is also available to book in the hotel's award-winning Tea Lounge.

Inspired by seasonal ingredients from the hotel's very own rooftop kitchen garden, the Veganuary menu includes a Curried parsnip soup, with green apple and crushed hazelnuts (£12), a choice of two mains, Gochujang marinated celeriac steak, coriander tahini sauce, onion pakoda and red pepper dip, crispy kale (£24) or marinated portobello mushrooms, garlic toasted fregola, grilled courgettes, coconut harissa eggplant purée (£24), and dessert is a bitter orange and almond cake with raspberry sorbet and chocolate cream (£9.50).

The accompanying wine list features new world-renowned Vegan wines for 2025 including Xarel-Lo Chardonnay XAXAXA 2022 (Spain), Chiaretto Rosato Gorgo Di Bricolo (Veneto, Italy) and Monastrell, Bodegas Luzon (Jumilla, Spain).

The exquisite Planted-Based Afternoon Tea starts from £52 per person / £65 per person with a glass of champagne. The menu offers plain and fruit scones served with coconut cream and strawberry and a selection of mouth-watering Vegan sandwiches including a chickpea, beetroot houmous on a beetroot wrap, sundried tomato with artichoke and lovage pesto, pulled BBQ jackfruit with vegan cheese and crunchy, salad, lemon and dill cucumber triple decker, and green pea and avocado with vegan cream cheese and basil. Sweet treats include stem ginger cake with maple vegan cream, chocolate mousse with blueberry compote, raspberry cheesecake with raspberry and thyme gel, marmalade lamington topped with desiccated coconut, and carrot cake with vegan cream cheese frosting.
