Comox Valley, BC – This January, Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa – Vancouver Island's premier wellness destination – will start welcoming guests to explore its newest signature experience at their Pacific Mist Spa: The Healing Caves™. This immersive journey guides guests through a sensory-rich spa circuit with six uniquely designed caves and tailored wellness therapies. At the forefront of innovation, this new offering further solidifies Kingfisher as a leader in the wellness industry.  

The successive series of caves offers distinct environments that engage all the senses, with each cave engineered to maximize health benefits and fully immerse guests into a mindful journey. The Healing Caves™ provide additional clinically proven wellness therapies to the Pacific Mist Spa that can relieve stress and tension, boost the immune system, improve sleep and energy, relieve inflammation and more.  

The therapies include: 

• Thermotherapy in the Desert Cave 

• Aromatherapy in the Mystic Cave 

• Cryotherapy in the Ice Cave 

• Red-Light therapy in the Astral Cave 

• Halotherapy in the Salt Cave   

• Immersive Hydrotherapy in the Storm Cave 

The guided experience lasts approximately 70 minutes for up to four guests at the same time. 

Key highlights of the Healing Caves™ include a dynamic temperature range of 14°F to 180°F, offering both dry and steam environments that simulate the aridness of a desert and the humidity of a rainforest. High-definition screens spanning 335 square feet immerse guests in carefully curated visuals of natural landscapes from around the world. Halogenerators enhance the restorative effects of salt therapy, categorizing this as an active therapy room. A standout feature is the Storm Cave, where dramatic weather patterns are simulated within an infinity pool surrounded by a giant screen, while those seeking a gentler experience can retreat to a calming rainforest escape.
