The Louise Celebrates a New Partnership with the Australian String Quartet:
The Barossa Weekend of Music
The team at The Louise is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Australian String Quartet (ASQ) to time with its Barossa Weekend of Music in August, with access to dining, accommodation and tickets to exclusive events via the luxury lodge's two-night package. The Barossa Weekend of Music event is the latest in the popular series of food, wine and cultural events on offer at The Louise.
The generously-inclusive package at The Louise will play out over two glorious nights, Friday August 30 – Sunday September 1 this year.
Guests staying at The Louise on the two-night package will enjoy access to performances by the Australian String Quartet at some of the Barossa Valley's best-loved cultural institutions, Tanunda Hall and the JamFactory. Guests join the Australian String Quartet for exclusive drinks at the nearby Wonderground gallery on Friday afternoon with a special preview of the Incandescent exhibition launching that evening and featuring Tanya Wales, Nona Burden, Monica Morgenstern and Renee de Saxe.
The event pairs perfectly with local dining and wines at The Louise's restaurants, Appellation and Contour. Highlights on the weekend include:
Friday August 30, 2024
- Exclusive afternoon drinks at Wonderground Gallery
- Evening Australian String Quartet concert at Tanunda Hall
- Post-concert dinner at Contour
Saturday August 31, 2024
- Australian String Quartet concert at JamFactory, followed by lunch at Fino, Seppeltsfield
- Evening Australian String Quartet performance at Contour
- Post-concert dinner at Appellation
Sunday September 1, 2024
- Morning conversation with the artists over a late breakfast at The Louise
As part of the partnership, The Louise will donate ten per cent of the proceeds from all direct bookings on the package towards the Australian String Quartet's ongoing commitment to Australian music making.
The Barossa Weekend of Music's The Louise Package is the latest in a series of popular weekend events at The Louise which have so far seen partnerships with Yalumba and Seppeltsfield Wines. The weekends have included a chance for guests to meet, tour behind the scenes and dine with the wine makers, enjoying a more personal interaction along with fine local dining and wines on offer at The Louise.
The Louise General Manager Sonya Smith said the team was thrilled to be welcoming the Australian String Quartet to the Barossa Valley.
“We can't imagine a more delightful venue than the Barossa's peacefully rolling hills and vineyards to be listening to performances by the Australian String Quartet,” Mrs Smith said.
“We look forward to working more with the company for future events here and in its Adelaide base,” she said.
Wonderground Barossa founders Renée de Saxe and Kirsty Kingsley said the weekend event was a wonderful addition to the region's rich cultural community.
“We're excited to be hosting an event here at Wonderground exclusively for guests at The Louise, in what promises to be a very special and memorable afternoon,” the founders said.
Generously inclusive rates on the Barossa Weekend of Music package start at $4,700* per suite (for up to two people) in a luxury Stonewell Suite, for a minimum two-night stay. There's an option to extend the weekend with special additional night rates from just $1,150 per suite.
