InsideAsia Tours B Corp is thrilled to announce its latest foodie-focused itinerary, 'Culinary Korea', the perfect introduction for anyone desperate to get a taste of Korea's culinary culture.

Designed to satisfy the food enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike, this new itinerary delves into the diverse flavours and mouthwatering culinary traditions unique to South Korea.

InsideAsia Tour's Senior South Korea Product Executive, Rebecca Barry, said this trip is an exciting mix of food, culture and adventure – taking in the country's vibrant traditions and breathtaking landscapes.

“This itinerary really is a culinary adventure like no other – with the perfect blend of hands-on cooking experiences, market visits and cultural immersion,” Rebacca said.

“When we set out to design this trip, we really wanted to showcase the diversity of South Korea, from hyper-modern Seoul to the jumbling alleyways of sea-front Busan, ultra-traditional Jeonju and into the more rural, mountainous side of the country.

“What may people don't realise is that Korea is known for far more than its KBBQ and craft beer – it's home to some of the world's biggest markets serving up a range of local delicacies from the famous bibimbap rice bowl to fried pancake, fizzy rice wine, and so much more.”

Over 13-days, this trip explores the bright lights of Seoul, historic Jeonju, Yeosu's litany of vibrant Pocha tent restaurants, the tangerines of Jeju Island and coastal Busan offering a trail of Michelin restaurants.

“One of the highlights is definitely the Jagalchi fish market where you'll find restaurants selling the freshest catch of the day – whether it be nakji octopus tentacles or spicy maeun-tang fish soup – it's a flavour-filled adventure for those bold enough to put their tastebuds to the test,” Rebecca said.

“In a country where collectivism is central to culture, food serves as a way to develop and fortify relationships and is one of the best ways for travellers to feel part of a bigger experience.”

“There's something profoundly special about Korea's communal dining culture that cultivates a deep sense of deep connection, a concept locally known as 'jeong'.

This itinerary leaves plenty of time to design your own food crawls, take in the café culture, get involved in the craft beer scene and wander the late-night markets.
